Meet Puppet! He’s currently in an amazing foster home with Key To Lion’s Heart Rescue where he was hand raised since he was 2 days old. This poor little guy was found abandoned in a dumpster with a deformed front leg. A vet confirmed the leg was broken but Puppet was too young to do anything about it. In the meantime - nothing is slowing this boy down. He’s growing like a weed and hanging out with the big dogs. He’s sweet and sassy and a total bundle of love. We can’t wait for him to find his forever home and blossom into the best boy!

We got the privilege of photographing one of the goodest boys in the world, Valor! He is a service dog helping guide his human, a marine and army veteran, through the next stage of her life. He showed off all his skills and commands he’s learned and let us show his serious side as well as his off the clock more goofy side. We were so honored to photograph and capture the special bond between him and his handler as she gets ready to start her art residency through Workhouse. We know their bond and love will continue to flourish in the many years they have together through out their journey!
We had a great time at the Village at Shirlington Pop Up event last week! We had over 100 people and their fabulous pooches sign up. We got some fantastic photos and everyone has been loving their portraits on our watercolor backdrop. All the dogs enjoyed the treats, scratches, and love! We got to see dogs of all shapes and sizes, and ended our day with an adorable little gray pibble puppy (Sarah’s dream dog - shhhh don’t tell Arn)! We have a few other pop up events coming up this year, so make sure to keep an eye out!
It’s our favorite day of the year! Even though we shoot all types of pets, we have a soft spot in our hearts for our canine friends, and we love that there is another day to give us an excuse to celebrate them even more! At the studio we can’t imagine our life without our personal packs of 3, and we’re sure you can’t imagine life without your best pals either! Make sure to give those pooches some extra snuggles, extra love, and some extra celebration because how sad would our lives be without them!?
IT’S ARNOLD’S GOTCHA DAY! It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years since this heart throb walked into the studio and won us over with his big brown eyes and perfect model personality.
We celebrated with love, hugs, and of course a pawsome cake smash! Arnold was even generous enough to share with his best fur friend ever, Sid, after he got the first noms of course. Then it was sugar zoomies galore with lots of wrestling and shredding of toys in true Arnold fashion! We love celebrating our handsome hunk and go-to promo model, life would be a snooze fest without him!

We had a great event at Barkhaus last week! It was so much fun, there were adoptable puppies, drinks, food, and lots of cute dogs channeling their inner models! We had over 35 participants and raised a large donation for Key To Lions Heart Rescue. The photos on the new backdrop came out great and we even had one adoption from the event! We love giving back to rescues and we are thrilled that it went so well. Keep your eyes open for more pop up events coming up, we definitely have some in the works!

We have some fun new backdrops! From tie-dye to geode, we are embracing the colorful and cute backdrops at some of our upcoming pop ups! Keep your eyes open for our upcoming events (we post on our instagram and the blog) to snag a portrait with these unique backdrops! Typically at past pop ups we have used a white backdrop, so it’s worth it to check out our upcoming ones even if you’ve been to one in the past! We are also ordering some really cute new bow ties and accessories for the studio as well, so if you’re considering getting updated portraits of your pooch, we will make sure they are looking extra fabulous!

We love capturing dogs at any stage of their life, whether it be those sweet senior moments to that frisky puppyhood period. It’s great to capture your furrybaby when they are at their prime and feeling their best, so their personality really can show through! We also have experience with end of life sessions, where we keep your pet comfortable while making sure to capture that sparkle in their eye to give you that forever memory of them.
